This year-long fundraising project for children in war zones will be launched at the festival with a performance of Secret Land by local band, North Wall Cosa.
Twelve local solo artists and bands will come together in a Band-Aid-style programme to raise money for this charity that supports the heart-breaking plight of children in war zones across the world.
All the artists will perform together on a record for worldwide release and come together in the summer for a festival of music and a live performance of the song. Throughout the year they will perform their own interpretation of the song, raising money and awareness at their gigs for this deserving cause.
War Child protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict.
Whether it’s ensuring Iraqi children get an education, providing psychological support to children who have been traumatised by conflict in Yemen, or finding lost vulnerable children in Afghanistan.
We understand children’s needs, respect their rights and put them at the centre of everything we do. We listen to what they have to say and help amplify their voices so that they can advocate for change to the systems and practices which hold them back. We boldly campaign on the root causes of conflict to help create a safer future for children across the world.
Championing creative talent.
Serving the community.
